I am so very thankful!
It's Thanksgiving Eve.
Time for me to reflect on the oh, so many blessings in my life.
My children, Tiffany and Timmy, will forever be my most special gift. They changed the trajectory of my life and gave that life deep meaning. I am so very fortunate to have been able to watch them grow into adulthood, and into two absolutely amazing human beings. It is a gift to spend time with them, to watch them grow, and to be a part of their lives. Watching them parent my two gorgeous grandchildren is the most precious gift.
I am so lucky to have two amazing young ones who call me Noo-noo. I absolutely glow when I am in their presence. They bring me tremendous joy.
I am "retired" but I continue to work because of the joy that being a teacher brings me. It is truly my calling, as much as I tried to fight it! I am in my flow when I am with my students. They challenge me, encourage me to grow, and breathe life into this rapidly aging body!
To be surrounded by animals, fur creatures, non-human beings grounds me. I love my critters! The adventures they bring every day keep me on my toes. The cuddles, their gentle snores at night, bring comfort to my life and my home.
I am surrounded by amazing friends who inspire me every day! The laughter, the tears, the memories that I share with them...priceless. They say that chosen family is the best. I am inclined to believe that.
We are living in challenging times, and yet I am hopeful. Inspired by those with whom I share this space. The goodness, the kindness, the love. My heart is full and I know that even in the darkest of times, love shines through. We shall overcome.
Hug your loved ones. Look up at the sky and find a guiding light. Be hopeful. Be playful. Enjoy this ride that we call life. It is all too short and every second is precious.
Happy Thanksgiving to those near and dear.
You’re a beautiful human, Dr. Jarman.
