Late once again!
Boy, I keep falling behind.
After my blog gap between March and July, I vowed to be more diligent in monthly posts! I completely missed August, and September is rapidly coming to a close!
I guess you could say I have been busy! In August, I spent a great deal of time in my pool...and I thoroughly enjoyed it-I need to remember to keep that up next summer. So very relaxing!
I was also able to spend some time in NYC and Rehoboth Beach, quality time with "chosen" family. My dear "niece" and her parents from Cyprus were in New York to settle Pavlina in for her studies at Barnard College. It was wonderful to see them. I am so fortunate to have international "family" from all over the world! Then it was off to some beach time with my adopted mother-my Momma Auds! We drove around in her little BMW convertible with the top down, of course!
In September, it was back to school-teaching at Shenandoah and some educational consulting. Education is my passion and I am amazingly blessed with wonderful students. I also spent time at my vacation home in Florida-needed the "me time" to refocus goals and center myself. On the way to and from Florida, I was able to stop in and visit daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter in Atlanta. The visit was wonderful!
September was also a time to reflect on the brevity of life.A reunion with more than 50 old theater friends, sharing stories from decades ago and remembering those we have lost. The end of September brought the deaths of two dear friends. Life is so very short, make each precious moment count. And from the musical Rent, "no day but today." Live life to it's fullest. My friends Sue and Nancy did just that. I will miss them.
